Beloved local brewery known for IPAs and creative seasonal releases.
Knee Deep Brewing Company is a family-owned Auburn microbrewery, crafting beer since 2010 and especially known for its hop-forward IPAs. Its taproom at 13395 New Airport Road has a warehouse-style, family- and dog-friendly atmosphere, with large picnic tables set among the fermentation tanks so visitors can sip a flight right where the beer is made. The lineup features an award-winning roster of IPAs plus rotating styles, including the West Coast-style Breaking Bud IPA and the chocolate-vanilla Tanilla Porter. Breaking Bud earned a bronze medal in the American IPA category at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival. For beer travelers, it's a relaxed, no-frills stop that puts the brewing front and center, and a solid complement to Auburn's other craft-beer offerings.
