A November festival with 300+ vendors, a Kids Zone, and a petting zoo.
The Mountain Mandarin Festival is a long-running annual celebration of the region's prized locally grown mandarin oranges, filling a November weekend with growers, food, arts and crafts, and family activities. Families can sample and buy fresh mandarins straight from area farmers, browse craft and food vendors, and enjoy kid-friendly entertainment in a festive harvest atmosphere. Note that the festival has relocated from Auburn's Gold Country Fairgrounds to The Grounds in Roseville, where the 2026 event is scheduled, so families planning a visit should head there rather than to Auburn. Despite the new home, it remains a cherished foothills-area tradition that highlights the unique sweetness of locally grown mandarins. It's a flavorful, seasonal outing that gives kids and parents a taste of the region's agricultural bounty just in time for the holidays.
